She’s Back! Singer-performer-philanthropist, and Oregon’s beloved Miss America, recently filmed two new commercials for Portland Rescue Mission.
Katie Harman has been an advocate and friend of Portland Rescue Mission for years. Harman has starred in a number of commercials promoting Drive Away Hunger, the car sales and donation program of Portland Rescue Mission.
We are honored to have her back, once again, and featured in our newest batch of Drive Away Hunger commercials. (Watch below).
“When we ask donors why they donated their car to Drive Away Hunger, more often than not they’ll say, ‘I heard about it from Katie!’” said Mike Deckon, Director of Marketing at Portland Rescue Mission. “What really comes through in these commercials is her heart for those we serve, and we are so excited for people to see them.”
“Some cars can go from zero to 60 in just three seconds,” Katie says, standing in front of a yellow Ferrari. “But there are also cars that can provide shelter, meals and life restoring care to people in need. And that just might be the car in your driveway.”
