Our Services

Since 1949, Portland Rescue Mission has been sharing the love of Christ with our hurting neighbors. From emergency services to long-term recovery and vocational training, we walk alongside people on their journey to new life.

Feed the hungry and help those in trouble.
Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as light as day.
Isaiah 58:10

From Those That Lived It

I am beyond grateful for this chance and this opportunity to better my life and just be the best me and the best mom that I can be. Today I have full custody of my kids. I’ve sought forgiveness from those I’ve hurt. I’m really looking forward to my future to see what’s in store for me. Thank you.
– Kelly

Friendship in the recovery program was like a miracle. I went from nothing at all to suddenly belonging. The Mission showed me that healing was possible.
– Patrick

What life looked like before this was lonely, in a jail cell, doing whatever I could to get money. Today, I am a productive member of society. I truly have a life that I’d never imagined.
– Joshua

I was in complete bondage. Coming to Shepherd’s Door saved my life and gave me stability and a safe place to heal. I am blessed and full of joy. My relationships with my family and children have been restored!
– Beth
