We’re throwing a birthday party for our guests at the Burnside Shelter. And we need your help making this celebration extra special! Here’s 5 reasons why you should party with Portland Rescue Mission.
Many of the people who come to us haven’t celebrated a birthday in years. We take this day to recognize them, strengthen relationships with them and offer a space with creative activities and treats. Help us make our guests feel special, loved and remembered!
The party is on Wednesday, May 11th from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Receiving a thoughtful and encouraging message can mean the world to a man or woman living on the streets. Download a card or send in your own to us by May 1st. Even better, why not be the one to hand your card to someone! Click HERE to apply as a volunteer for the event. Have fun and leave knowing you helped someone feel valuable.
Bring yours kids and use this an as opportunity to teach them about serving! This is a great chance to volunteer with your family or friends. CLICK HERE to bring a group to serve at the party or during the evening dinner service that day.
What’s a party without music?! We have a musician named Keith Hunter coming to perform during the party. We also have tables for crafts and games. Make sure to stop by the photo booth.
