Not only are the cars affordable, but whether by donation or through a purchase, you can give hope and restore life to the men, women and children who come to us in search of help and recovery.
The average car donation can feed up to 600 families who come to our Burnside Shelter in search of a warm meal through our Hope Ministries. Many of those same people will seek help in our Pathway Ministries that provide short-term shelter with transitional help to housing and employment. Others may join our 12-month New Life Ministries providing addiction recovery at either Shepherd’s Door for women and children or at The Harbor for men. All of our ministries at Portland Rescue Mission work together to create permanent life change for those who are most vulnerable.
Drive Away Hunger’s vehicles range anywhere from as low as $800 to $12,000. All go through a 30-point safety check, and nearly every price you will find at Drive Away Hunger will be lower than the average dealership price.

To donate your car, fill out a short car donation inquiry online. The process is simple. Once you have transferred the title to Portland Rescue Mission, not only do you have zero liability, Drive Away Hunger will also tow away your car for free, if needed.
