“My life spiraled out of control,” Greg says. “I was depressed, angry and all I could do was crawl into isolation. I didn’t need anyone, I didn’t want to be needed by anyone, and I sure didn’t need God. It was just me and my bottle of alcohol or pills.”
Greg’s Story of Hope on YouTube
Greg came to Portland Rescue Mission after years of alcohol and drug use. He had lost his job, his home, his wife and children. “After my divorce, I knew I needed to make some changes.”
Today, Greg celebrates sobriety he never thought possible. “I’ve found myself, I’ve found fellowship in healthy relationships, and I understand who God wants me to be. And I’m connecting with my three children in a healthy way, too.”
