Happy Easter! (Click here to watch our Easter message)
It’s the season of resurrection, restoration, and renewal—a reminder through Christ’s resurrection that hope is alive and possible for us all.
But for someone experiencing homelessness, battling addiction, or living with deep trauma, Easter may not feel like a celebration. It might feel like just another day of struggle. Cold. Lonely. Without direction or peace.
At Portland Rescue Mission, we believe that no one is beyond hope—and that transformation begins when we walk alongside people in their greatest need. That’s the heart behind our work and the foundation of the PRM Transformation Model.
A Path from Crisis to Renewal
The PRM Transformation Model is a personalized, holistic, and Christ-centered approach that addresses the full spectrum of human need—physical, emotional, spiritual, and relational. Going beyond offering a meal or a bed. It’s about building trust, restoring dignity, and helping people find lasting stability and purpose.
The model is built on four interwoven pathways:
Each step is designed to support the whole person and help them discover who God created them to be.
Real Impact, Real Lives Changed
This past year across the mission, we’ve served 6,807 men, women, and children—a 15% increase from 2023. And thanks to the prayers, generosity, and compassion of friends like you, 84% of graduates from our New Life Recovery Program over the past five years are still sober, housed, and living with hope.
These are not just numbers. They represent a mom reuniting with her children, a lost brother coming home, a neighbor rediscovering their worth.
You Make Miracles Happen
As we celebrate Easter, we’re reminded that the greatest transformations happen through love. And every story of healing at Portland Rescue Mission begins with a caring neighbor—someone like you—choosing to give.
Your Easter gift helps provide the essentials: meals, shelter, safety, and the life-changing programs that make lasting recovery possible.
You can help someone experience the hope of new life this Easter.
Thank you for being part of the miracle.
