Shepherd's Door

Shepherd’s Door Alumni Bridge the Future for our Participants

The alumni women of Shepherd’s Door who actively participate in the alumni activities are a testament to the enduring strength, resilience, and commitment required in the journey to sobriety. These women have walked the difficult path of recovery and now serve as living examples of what is possible through perseverance and faith. Their presence provides hope and encouragement to the women in the program, showing them that recovery is not just a possibility but a LIVED REALITY.  The alumni’s stories of triumph, growth, and ongoing struggles offer a sense of solidarity, reminding those still in the early stages that they are not alone and that a supportive community is waiting to embrace them beyond the program’s walls.

Equally important, the alumni bring the raw and honest truth of sobriety’s challenges. They do not sugarcoat the reality of what comes after leaving the structured environment of the program. By sharing both the good and the ugly aspects of staying sober, they provide a realistic picture of what life in recovery entails. This transparency helps prepare the current program participants for the ups and downs they may face, fostering resilience and a deeper understanding that recovery is a lifelong commitment. The alumni’s presence is a powerful reminder that while the journey is filled with obstacles, it is also filled with opportunities for growth, connection, and a renewed sense of purpose. The bond between the current ladies at Shepherd’s Door and our alumni is invaluable!
