Volunteer Staff

For individuals looking to serve God through high impact volunteer ministry using their passions, personality and giftedness to become part of our team on a monthly or weekly basis. This is the core of the Portland Rescue Mission volunteer team and there are over 60 volunteer staff positions unfilled currently.

Example: Mentor, Tutor, Shift Manager, receptionist, Children's Center helper, public speaker

Steps:

• Attend Partnership Overview (formerly “Prospective Volunteer Introduction”)
• Turn In Volunteer Staff Application
• References are checked
• Interview with volunteer ministry staff person
• Notification of acceptance
• Training
• Schedule created

To become involved, attend a Partnership Overview or contact us at recruitment@pdxmission.org or 503.906.7697. For groups interested in becoming involved, only the leader must attend the Partnership Overview, though we welcome all who wish to attend.
